Demand for second-hand summer clothes on the rise

The weekly bazaars witnessed an extraordinary rush of customers belonging to all age groups who took keen interest in buying second-hand summer clothes.
Noticing the preferences of their customers for international brands, the shopkeepers have categorised summer wear. Category ‘A’ had clothes of Next, Gucci, Prada and Armani, Category ‘B’ was for Korean brands while the third category, ‘C’ was for worn-out clothes. Unlike the general impression that only poor people buy second hand clothes, a large section of middle income group visits these bazaars and buy used clothes.
“People of all walks of life visit Sunday bazaar and buy different things especially second hand garments. The price hike has forced the people to turn towards these kinds of bazaars where they can buy items at affordable prices,” said Nazir Abbasi, a stallholder.
