Man held for attacking wife, her cousin

TOBA TEK SINGH: On the order of DPO Rana Shahzad Akbar, Gojra Sadar police on Saturday arrested constable Naveed and Wapda employee Izzat Baig for attacking Izzat Baig’s wife and her cousin at Chak 160/GB.
Rashida was residing with her father Siddiq after developing differences with her husband Izzat Baig. On the day of the incident, she and her cousin Zulfiqar were on their way to Gojra for shopping on a motorcycle when accused Izzat Baig and his accomplices including police constable Naveed allegedly attacked and injured both bikers. In the meantime, both tried to hide in the house of their relative but the accused persons also tortured the family members. When an application received by the DPO against the accused cop and Izzat Baig, the DPO ordered registration of a case against the accused persons.
