CM to announce Metro Bus inauguration date next week

Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif would announce the date of inauguration of Metro Bus Service Project on May 31.
Earlier, several dates have been announced for the inauguration of the project, but due to pending work the project could not be inaugurated.
Official spokesman for Rawalpindi Development Authority Hafiz Mohammad Irfan said that chief minister would announce the date of inauguration on next Sunday. “Till now 99 per cent work on the project has been completed. Only final touches are being given to the project. Work on all bus terminals has now been completed. Whereas work of road carpeting is left at some points,” he added.
According to sources, the Punjab chief minister would pay visit to the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad sometime in the coming week to inspect completion of work done on the project. After getting briefing from the Commissioner Rawalpindi over the total work done, the chief minister if feels satisfied would make announcement of date.
