LAHORE: The entire country is paying the price for rigging in 2013 elections; rulers occupying power for last 20 years are not bothered about any problem in the country other than jangla bus and underpasses.
These views were expressed by Pakistan Muslim League-Q President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and senior central leader Pervaiz Elahi while presiding over representative meeting of NA-108 Mandi Bahauddin. At the very outset, the gathering offered Fateha for the departed soul of Chaudhry Sultan Mahmud.
In the meeting, PML-Q candidate Hamza Nasir Iqbal, MNA Tariq Bashir Cheema, Riaz Asghar Chaudhry, Ch Zaheeruddin Khan, Mohammad Basharat Raja, Imtiaz Ranjha, Sajid Khan Bhatti, Arif Gondal, Zulqarnain Sahi, Rameez Hassan Khawaja, Khalid Parvez Sindhu, Fehmida, Afzaal Tarar and others presented their suggestions.
Shujaat Hussain said PML-Q was very much alive and active, those calling it dead better wake up from deep slumber. Giving direction to the workers to make preparations for the election, he said that rigging in 2013 election was a bitter reality and it would be unfolded fully soon.
Pervaiz Elahi said family of Hamza Nasir Iqbal had deep relationship with our family, these would be further strengthened and carried forward, wrong decisions were taken in 2013 election, as a result of which, the country was plunged into darkness, the entire country was paying the price for this election till now, N-League was occupying power for the last 20 years, it did not see any problem of the poor other than construction of under-passes and jangla bus, the country was suffering from terrorism and the rulers were busy in foreign tours. He maintained during PML-Q tenure there was no crisis of electricity and gas, today people are fed up with inflation, the poor are forced to commit suicides.
Hamza Nasir Iqbal expressed gratitude to Shujaat Hussain and Pervaiz Elahi for reposing trust in him, PML-Q is different from other parties and considers the sorrow of the people as its own, no other person has rendered service to the Punjab like Pervaiz Elahi who as the chief minister launched development works in entire province, including Mandi Bahauddin, spread network of roads, supplied sui gas. He said he had joined PML-Q on being impressed with the political wisdom of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi.
