No let-up in looting spree in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA: Robbers and thieves snatched cash and valuables from citizens in different areas of Gujranwala on Thursday.
Two bandits snatched Rs 7,000 and two mobile phones from Mujahid in the Wahndo police area. Two robbers deprived Zahid of Rs 9,000 and a cellphone in Lam Banwali village in the Cantonment police area.
Three gunmen snatched Rs 11,000 from Saleem in Thabel village in the Noshera Virkan police area. Two dacoits snatched Rs 14,000 from Shaukat in Gouh Chaoti village in the Noshera Virkan police area.
Two robbers snatched Rs 8,000 from Waseem in Gillwala locality in the Ahmed Nagar police jurisdiction.
Thieves entered grocery shop of Nawaz in Lohiawala locality and took away valuables in the Aroop police area.
Thieves entered an embroidery shop situated on Sialkot road in the Jinnah road police area and took away valuables.
Thieves stole new motorbike of Azmat from the Gulshan-e-Iqbal park in the Dhulley police area, new motorbike of Akhtar from Vania turn in the Jinnah Road police area, new motorbike of Ashraf from Khutapully in the Garjakh police area and motorbike No STL-1346 of Nasim from Gill road in the Civil Lines police area.
YOUTH INJURED: A boy suffered injuries when a bus hit him on Thursday.
Jameel, son of Khalil of Lohiawala was crossing a road near Aroop locality, when a bus hit him, leaving him injured.
MAN DIES IN ACCIDENT: An old man was killed and others suffered injuries in an accident on Thursday.
The unidentified old man died and four others were injured when a van hit a truck near Sabzi Mandi in the area of Gujranwala Sadar police. The injured were shifted to DHQ hospital.
