PUNJAB University students have won team trophy and top positions in declamation contest, theatre while showing outstanding performance in Zestival 2015 organised by Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan.
According to a press release issued here Wednesday, the students, including Salman Alam from Institute of Communication Studies, Hamza Mustafa from University Law College, Mubasher Saeed from College of Pharmacy, Ghuffran Chishti from College of Art & Design, Haris Bhatti from Institute of Communication Studies, Rameesha Khan from College of Pharmacy, Subaina Javed from Institute of Business Administration and Sibt-e-Hassan from Institute of Social & Cultural Studies clinched 1st positions in Photography, Punjabi Debate, Urdu Nazam, Singing, Short Film, Best Actress, Best Theme and Supporting Actor respectively. Similarly students, including Asim Boota from Department of Punjabi, Yasir Rashid from Institute of Communication Studies and Usama Tarar from College of Engineering & Emerging Technology got 2nd positions in Punjabi Debate, Urdu Ghazal and Bilingual Declamation contest while a student from University Law College Sibtain Raza grabbed 3rd position in English Humour. Students from different departments, including Subaina Javed, Rameesha Khan, Sara Tariq, Usama Ghayyor, Sibt-e-Hassan, Zainul Abdeen, Hasnain Jameel, Talha, Khubaib Nazir, Nabeel Manzoor, Salman Alam and Ghuffran Chishti participated in a play which was declared best play. Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated the students.
