OKARA: The city B-division police Thursday arrested two imposters who tried to extort money from a man.
On a tip-off, the police raided a locality and arrested imposters Asghar and Irshad, who posed themselves as secretaries to the Punjab Chief Minister and the IGP (Punjab).
They were present at the Palace Chowk to receive Rs 2 lakh from Javed of Harappa. They had promised with Javed to provide him a job of junior clerk.
The police recovered visiting cards printed with pictures of the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister from them.
FAKE COOKING OIL MANUFACTURES HELD: The city B-division police Thursday arrested two accused identified as Sajid and Anjum Khalil who were found manufacturing spurious ghee and cooking oil in Sher-e-Rubbani Town.
The police also recovered dozens of packets inscribed with false trade logos and stickers of local manufacturers of the commodities.
