BATTAGRAM: The district administration has ordered the teachers to focus on the ongoing enrollment drive in government schools.
Deputy commission Zariful Maani, who is also returning officer for the upcoming local government elections, expressed serious concern over the reports of teachers participation in election campaign and ignoring the enrollment drive.
Presided over a meeting, he said strict disciplinary action would be taken against the teachers for taking part in election campaign. He asked the teachers to expedite the enrollment drive in the district and no teacher would be allowed to take leave till the end of the elections. He said that the electioneering has overshadowed the enrollment drive in the district.
But they have made effective planning for the success of the enrollment campaign, he added.
He said that mega orientation sessions for both male and female would be held at the tehsil Battagram and tehsil Allai, which would be attended by parents, teachers and students.
