LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) senior central leader and former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi Thursday said that former Supreme Court of Pakistan judge Khalilur Rehman Ramday was the handler of rigging in the General Elections 2013.
He expressed these views while attending a party ceremony organised at Muslim League House Lahore.Elahi asked why former chief justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry gave directives to the returning officers (ROs)? Now that the judicial commission has been established, the entire nation is eyeing the rigging probe, he added.
He said that the criminals behind rigging would be brought to justice. He criticised Ramday and ex-CJ as according to him, they facilitated the people who allegedly rigged the elections.While commenting on the ongoing Yemen conflict, he said that the government irresponsibly handled the situation.On the occasion, he also distributed appointment letters among fresh appointees of the party.
