LAHORE
The Punjab government on Monday approved twelve development schemes of various development sectors at an estimated cost of Rs 14.780 billion.
These schemes were approved at the 41th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of ongoing fiscal year 2014-15 presided over by Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
According to Spokesman for P&DD, Provincial Secretary P&D Waseem Ajmal Chaudhary, Members of the Planning and Development Board, Provincial Secretary concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments also attended the meeting.
The approved development schemes included Engagement of Transaction Advisers for Preparation of Complete Project Proposal and Tendering of PPP Project “Outsourcing Services for Operations and Maintenance of Sports Infrastructure Facilities in Punjab” (PC-II) at a cost of Rs. 25.805 million, Establishment of Sub-Campus of University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, at Depalpur, District Okara, at a cost of Rs. 625.729 million, Remodelling/Rehabilitation of Inescapable Flood Works (RIFW-I) in Punjab Irrigation Department (Phase-I) at a cost of Rs. 349.251 million, Preparation of Water Quality Survey and Sewerage Master Plan/Development Plan of Districts, Tehsil, and Urban Area (PC-II) at a cost of Rs. 19.983 million, Sewerage System from Larech Colony to Gulshan-e-Ravi Lahore at a cost of Rs. 6978.635 million, Area Development Scheme No.II, Sheikhupura, at a cost of Rs. 456.108 million, Master Planning of Water Supply, Sewerage, and Drainage System i/c Consumers Survey and Upprade of Billing System of Wasa Multan (PC-II) at a cost of Rs. 153.648 million, Upgrade of Government General Hospital Ghulam Muhammad Abad, Faisalabad (Revised), at a cost of Rs. 986.450 million, Construction of Surgical Tower at the Mayo Hospital, Lahore (Revised), at a cost of Rs. 2678.104 million, Establishment of State-of-the-Art Trauma Centre at Kallar Kahar, District Chakwal (Revised), at a cost of Rs. 260.373 million,Widening/Improvement of Road, Sheikhupura-Sargodha Road km No. 37 to 49.56 to 61.30, and 71.60 to 83.30 length=20.90 km in District Sheikhupura (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 1079.601 million, and Dualisation of Lahore-Jaranwala Road from Mandi Faizabad to Magtanwala length=15.40 km in Nankana Sahib (Revised) at a cost of Rs. 1166.631 million.
