This refers to the news report, ‘Militants kill 147 students in Kenya university attack’ (April 3). According to the media reports, the militants first isolated Christians among the 700 students taken hostage at the Garissa University and later shot them dead.
The ghastly incident revived the memories of the December 16 incident in Peshawar in which terrorists barged into a school and massacred unarmed students and staff. Both incidents are shocking beyond imagination. They have a bearing on all of humanity. Terrorists and different militant organisations that purport to be following the purest form of Islam do not know that our religion teaches peace. We join the many across the world who are paying their respect to the victims.
