AQ Khan supports MMA

LAHORE: Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan and the custodian of Mian Mir shrine, Pir Syed Haroon Ali Gilani have announced unconditional support for MMA candidate from NA-130, Liaqat Baloch, in the upcoming General Elections 2018.

Pir Syed Haroon Ali Gilani, while addressing a gathering, also appealed to the patriotic people in the area to vote for MMA candidate. Liaqat Baloch expressed gratitude to the both personalities for their support. He said political parties which were gathering so called electable were a scar on the face of democracy. He said the forthcoming elections would prove the day of reckoning for the corrupt elite and the masses would inflict a crushing defeat on the dishonest candidates. He said the respect of the vote and the voter lay only in electing honest and competent people.

Spokesperson for JI Amir-ul-Azeem criticized Imran Khan’s tirade against JI and termed it totally unjustified. He said JI was a part of MMA and Imran Khan should desist from attacking it. Amir-ul-Azeem said scores of PTI candidates had already entered into seat adjustment and alliance with PML-N, PML-Q, PPP and independents therefore, his criticism of JI was uncalled for. Earlier, JI Naib Ameer Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha demanded the caretaker government to take steps to highlight India’s atrocities in Held Kashmir. He said Indian army had failed to control the protest on this occasion while the Kashmiris hatred for India was increasing due to the state oppression. He said all the tactics of Indian rulers had failed and the Pakistani flag was being hoisted in every nook and corner of the held Kashmir which was a referendum against New Delhi.
