Importance of innovation, leadership highlighted
LAHORE : The Young Leaders Conference (YLC) on Saturday entered a fifth day with an exciting itinerary of keynote and panel sessions led by the best and brightest people from the development sectors, all looking to provide a fresh perspective on leadership.
The theme on the fifth day of the YLC was the developmental leadership. It focused on the importance of innovation and entrepreneurship and the positive impact they have on young adults.
Shahnaz Minallah, a teacher, shared her observations and mentioned spirituality as an energy behind strengthening her as a person.
A session “Nexus Matter” was held on the issue of water scarcity which Pakistan is currently facing.
The panel, including Fareed Alam, Brayshna Kundi, Dr Aftab Alam and Dr Ashraf, implied that the matter called for ensuring sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
Later, a panel discussion on taboos sponsored by UNICEF was conducted. Moderated by Fizza Rehman, the panel included Wasma Imran, Kiran Khan, Sana Mehmood and Moulana Professor Abdur Rehman Ludhianvi.
This was followed by the launch of UNICEF’s #NoChutti campaign. A design thinking workshop was conducted by Mustansir Tanoli. A session by Max Babri was held on self care, emphasising the need to take care of your mental, emotional, and physical health.
The day was closed with a Qawwali concert by Bakshi Brothers.
