DASKA: A youth was killed in a road accident in the area of Motra police limits on Saturday.
Muhammad Safdar was on the way to Sialkot from Daska, when he reached near a bus stop a speeding van hit him, leaving him injured critically. He was shifted to civil hospital where he died.
ROBBERS INJURE MAN: Two dacoits shot at and injured a youth over putting up resistance in the area of Sadar police limits.
Ghulam Nabi was going to home from Daska, on the way two dacoits intercepted him and snatched cash, a mobilephone and his motorcycle. When he resisted the dacoits shot at and injured him.
ATTEMPTS SUICIDE: An unemployed youth attempted suicide in the city area on Saturday.
Fahad was jobless for two years and he used to quarrel with his family members. On the day of incident, he took acid and was taken to hospital when his condition deteriorated.
At hospital his condition was stated to be critical.
WHEAT CROP DAMAGED: Sixteen people Saturday damaged wheat crop of a farmer over an old enmity in the area of sadar police.
Abdul Sattar and his fifteen accomplices damaged wheat crop of farmer Shaukat Ali.
POS HELD: Police Saturday claimed arresting two proclaimed offenders from different localities.
Acting on a tip-off, police arrested POs Muhammad Rasheed and Muhammad Imran and found arms in their possession.
