Bodies of three missing girls recovered

BAHAWALPUR: Bodies of three girls, who got lost in Cholistan desert near Fort Abbas six days ago, were recovered on Monday. Six-year-old Allah Maafi, 8-year-old Fatima and Suraya, 9, came from Khanewal to Toba Sharay Wala to meet their relatives and were staying at the house of Muhammad Naseer. Last Wednesday, when they were going to meet another relative Zafar Iqbal they were hit by a sand storm and got lost in the Cholistan desert. Rescue operation was started by the locals and the district police, but to no avail. As a last resort, the rescuers went further into the vastness of the desert and found their bodies half buried in the sand.
