Hydel power projects inaugurated in South Waziristan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Two hydel power projects in Sam and Gigakhel areas of South Waziristan were inaugurated here on Monday.
Local elders and officials of the political administration attended the inaugural ceremony. The electricity projects were accomplished with the collaboration of Pakistan Army.
The total power generating capacity of Sam Hydel power project is 15 KV, while Gigakhel power project generates 12KV. The electricity projects were completed within one month. The two power projects will meet the energy requirements of far-flung areas of Gigakhel, Badar, Sam, Balai Kanigram, and Ladha subdivision.
