The Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has extended the date for submission of admission forms for its Matric to PhD level programmes till April 10. Now applicants could seek admissions with late fee till the new date.
The decision to this effect was taken by AIOU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui on the demand of prospective applicants and continued students. Such demands were received from various parts of the country. The VC has directed all regional directors of the university across the country to guide and help the applicants in submitting their admission forms. He hoped that the maximum number of people will take benefit of this facility to continue their studies through distance learning system.
The AIOU, he added, is taking all possible steps to improve ranking and quality of its academic programmes.
Admissions forms and prospectuses could also be obtained from the University’s main campus, 44-Regional Campuses and Coordinating Offices across the country. Moreover, prospectus and admission forms of M.Phil and PhD level programs could also be obtained from the University’s website www.aiou.edu.pk Eligibility and other detail of all programs are given in the relevant prospectuses.
Admission forms along with the required fee can be submitted at the nation-wide branches of Habib Bank Ltd, First Women Bank, Bank Alfalah, Allied Bank and at the designated branches of National Bank of Pakistan and Muslim Commercial Bank. The detail of designated branches is available in the prospectuses as well as in the Regional Offices. Director Admissions advised the students to submit their fee in the bank by their own. Fee in shape of bank draft/pay order will not be accepted.
