Summer art classes planned at PNCA
Islamabad : With the summer vacation for schoolchildren beginning shortly, the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) has planned art classes for them on its premises.
The classes will begin on June 26 and last around one and a half months until August 9.
The children aged between five years and 15 years will learn painting, sculpture, puppetry and use of art materials.
Registration for the classes will be offered on the first come first serve basis.
More than 100 students of various twin cities educational institutions will get training in visual and performing arts.
According to a PNCA official, the event will help the students spend vacation productively and pleasantly and develop interest in arts.
The government and private schools in Islamabad will close campuses for the summer vacation early next month, while those located in adjoining Rawalpindi have already been closed for summer break.
During three-month art camp, the participants would be trained in painting, music keyboard playing and singing, calligraphy, drama, puppet making, photography and sculpture.
It helps children utilize their vacations in a fruitful and exciting manner and express their potential by giving realisation to ideas through colour and the brush, an official of PNCA said.
