Bilal’s all-round show helps NBP beat Sindh Police
KARACHI: Bilal Asif’s fine all-round performance guided National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) to 38-run victory over Sindh Police in their Group B fixture of the Naya Nazimabad Ramazan Cup Twenty20 here at the picturesque Hussain Lawai Stadium.
The flamboyant all-rounder hammered a rapid 28 and grabbed three wickets for 22 to clinch Man of the Match award as NBP launched their campaign on a winning note. He stroked a breezy 28 off just 12 balls, hitting four massive sixes to lift NBP from 86-6 to a respectable 138-9 in their 20 overs. Ahsan Ali (27 off 21 balls) was the other notable scorer for the bankers who were derailed by the duo of Farooq Hussain (4-32) and Raza-ul-Hasan (3-19).
Sindh Police succumbed to 100 all out in 16.2 overs with the NBP quartet of Saad Khan (3-21), Bilal Asif (3-22), Raza Hasan (2-11) and Abdul Rahman (2-24) sealing the fate of the match.
