RLC holds prize distribution ceremony
Rawalpindi: Chief Executive of Rawalpindi Law College Peerzada Rahat Quddusi has said that solution to problems being faced by the Pakistani society lies only in the strict implementation of rule of law.
Quddusi was speaking at the annual prize distribution ceremony of the Rawalpindi Law College (RLC) on Sunday. Vice-Principal Sardar Mehr Abid, Principal, Jinnah Institute, Ch Masood Sultan and Peerzada Mansoor Ahmed Quddusi were also present on the occasion.
Quddusi said the nation needs to get rid of tornadoes of despair, and this can be achieved through a firm and cordial relations between teacher and student. “Stronger the relation, stronger will be the society. The least I want to say to prove dignity of the law profession is that Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was associated with this very profession”.
He said that Pakistan was made by a lawyer and the entire nation is now looking towards the lawyer fraternity for the solution to their problems. He further said that the mission statement of the Rawalpindi Law College is and will remain to bring Pakistan at par with developed nations of the world and this will be achieved no matter what come may.
Later, Quddusi distributed prizes, shields and certificates besides other prizes among the distinguished students. The achievers included cricket teams - Jamshed Khan (LLB-III), runner up Nazim Sohail (LLB-II); football - Mehboob Alam (LLB-II), runner up Sajjad Akbar (LLB-II), badminton - Urooj Zahra and Zeeshan Khaliq (LLB-II), runner up Fakhr-e-Alam and Maryum Shahzadi; table tennis - Muhammad Hashim Zafar (LLB-5years), runner up Waqas Sher Afzal. Best bowler and batsman award went to Bilal Ahmad.
Other recipients included Maryam Shahzadi, Anum shahid, Syed Tehseen Zahra, Noshaba Mushtaq, Sania Ejaz, Sosan Iftikhar, Fahim Mustafa, Ajaz Ahmad, Humayun Iftikhar, Nosheen Ahmad, Ashraf Nazeer Tahir, Noman tariq, Rabia Khatoon, Ahmadmaz Malik who were given trophies, shields and certificates for their brilliant performances.
