Week-long artisans workshop concludes
Islamabad: A week-long artisans workshop concluded here at National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) on Sunday.
The special guest on the concluding ceremony was National Vocational and Technical Training Commission director general Dr Nisar Khan. Dr Nisar said Pakistan was a land of diverse culture, which was reflected by the artists in their art pieces.
"The artists are full of potential. We are proud of them," he said. He promised help for the artist training to promote and preserve art. Executive Director Lok Virsa Shahera Shahid on the occasion said the workshop was meant to introduce the artisans to modern and innovative techniques of skills refinement, presentation and marketing, which would will enable them to upsell their work meeting the challenges of modern day economy.
