LANDIKOTAL: Two persons were killed and 12 others sustained injuries in a pile-up involving four vehicles on the Peshawar-Torkham Road here on Saturday, sources said. The sources said that two cars, a mini-coach and a van of the security forces collided in Sadukhel area in Landikotal tehsil in Khyber Agency. The incident happened due to heavy rain that was followed by a storm.
Two persons were killed while 12 others injured in the accident, hospital sources said.
Two Frontier Corps personnel were also among the injured.
The hospital sources said that six injured were taken to Peshawar for medical treatment due to their serious condition.
The dead were identified as Muhammad Riaz hailing from Landikotal and Wakeel Khan belonging to Jamrud. Muhammad Akbar, Tahir, Arifullah, Ghulam Muhammad, Musa Khan, Tawaf, his wife, and Naseem Khan were some of the injured.
According to the CTD spokesman, the two were attempting to enter Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
