MIRAMSHAH: Candyland with the support of Pakistan Army opened a cricket academy in Miranshah and during the inauguration of the academy a peace cricket match was also arranged at the Younis Khan Sports Complex.
After the restoration of peace in the area, the first thing to resume at North Waziristan area was cricket and all the credit goes to Pakistan security forces.
Maj Gen Azhar Iqbal Abbasi, GOC 7 Div Miranshah, North Waziristan Agency, was the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the Candyland Cricket Academy.
Former Test cricketers Jalaluddin, Manzoor Elahi also conducted trials during the inauguration and as part of the talent- hunt programme at various areas of FATA to select talented players for further training at the academy.
