Latest innovations, challenges in social sciences discussed

Islamabad : A National Conference on ‘Emerging Discourses in Social Sciences: Modern Issues, Novel Solutions’ was organised by Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Bahria University Islamabad Campus here on Thursday.

The aim of this conference was to provide a forum for academia, research organisations and industry to share their knowledge, experience, and contributions. The event provided a unique platform to discuss latest innovations and challenges, local as well as global, in the fields of social sciences.

The conference was divided into different themes covering challenges and opportunities in the fields of social sciences. The key note speakers of the conference, Dr. Pervez Iqbal Cheema Dean, Faculty of Contemporary Studies National Defence University, Dr Vaqar Ahmed Joint Executive Director, Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and Dr. Hazir Ullah Deputy Dean Social Sciences International Islamic University also shed light on the topic. The conference speakers presented their respective papers on the themes.

Vice Chancellor Allama Iqbal Open University Dr. Shahid Siddiqui graced the occasion as chief guest. Earlier, in his address, Bahria University Rector Vice Admiral (r) Muhammad Shafique expressed his gratitude to the chief guest and speakers for their presence in the ceremony. The chief guest distributed the shields to the keynote speakers.
