Turkish cultural show for kids
LAHORE: A grand cultural show was staged by Turkish Culture Centre Lahore, which is the cultural body of Yunus Emre Enstitutu Intanbul under the theme of "We are the future of World" to promote harmony, peace and give awareness to Pakistani nation how kids are important.
The huge gathering of families and students of 25 schools appreciated this Turkish festivity to give respect to their future (kids). Director Turkish Cultural Prof Dr Khalil Tokar said: ”To give respect and honour to kids our great founder Kamal Ata Turk Pasha introduced such activity. This activity is being observed every year in Turkey and the whole world knows that Pakistan and Turkey have long and firm brotherly relationship.”
He thanked the directorate of Alhamra Art Council and all volunteer contributors. Speaker Punjab Assembly Rana Iqbal Khan visited the event and admired the efforts of Turkish Cultural Centre. On the occasion, Counsellor General of Turkey in Lahore Koray Kizilbulut, counsellor general Iran Ali Akbar Razai, DG Iranian consulate Ahmad Marjani Neghat and Adviser to President of Pakistan Farooq Adil attended the function. Shields were distributed among the participating kids. In Turkey, Kids Day is celebrated on April 23 every year to boast their confidence.
