Rana Mujahid group wins FDHA polls
ISLAMABAD: Rana Mujahid group won the Faisalabad District Hockey Association (FDHA) elections with Shahid Tanvir Gill being elected as president and Nadeem Ahmad Khan as secretary.
Other officials elected included Shahzad Ahmad, Rana Mohammad Imran (vice presidents), Ghulam Murtaza (joint secretary) and Rana Sajid (treasurer).
Olympians Rana Mujahid and Malik Shafqat were given the right to represent Faisalabad at the Punjab Hockey Association and Pakistan Hockey Federation forums.
Meanwhile, controversy erupted in Sahiwal elections when Olympian Danish Kaleem blamed opponents for conducting one-sided elections with a majority of the hockey clubs in the district having no knowledge of it. Danish has written a letter to the PHF’s chief election commissioner in this regard.
