Skyline University College, Sharjah, has inaugurated its Country Office in Pakistan with the aim of guiding and educating Pakistani students about Higher Education in United Arab Emirates.
The purpose is to inform students about the admissions requirements of Skyline University.
The event started with the ribbon cutting ceremony by Director & Chair of the Executive Council Nitin Anand along with Rakesh Gaur, Deputy Director Marketing & Admissions on Wednesday.
The Skyline staff including Mrs Rabia Bilal, Assistant Manager Business Development & Events, and Ms Maham Saqib, Country Representative, was also present.
The university is establishing links in the education industry primarily with schools, universities and government bodies. The SUC is celebrating its Silver Jubilee this year and in this regard has allocated a scholarship fund of $1 million for the prospective students through these partners.
The SUC has built a strong agent network in a very limited span of time to reach out to prospective students across Pakistan.
Nitin appreciated the quality of Pakistani students and how channelized the systems are. Anand was joined by DG HRM, Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, who laid emphasis on support from quality foreign institutions along with HEC to fulfill the need of the growing education sector where 50 per cent of the population is looking for quality higher education. Quality private institutions are welcomed to set up their campuses in Pakistan and HEC will support them in meeting the desired requirements.
Skyline University College was established under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, member of the UAE Supreme Council and the Ruler of Sharjah in 1990 in Sharjah, a city that has been recognized as a hub of education, culture and heritage by UNESCO. Under the guidance of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, SUC is successful in its pursuit to offer high quality education and create awareness among students towards the needs of society. It is presently one of the leading Universities in the Northern Emirates.
Since its inception, Skyline University College has been training manpower in the field of Management Education, Travel & Tourism, Marketing, Human Resource, Information Systems and Finance. The institution has identified Retail Marketing, Public Administration & e-Governance as new areas for training the manpower required by the relevant industry. SUC has carved out a name for itself in the local and international markets as a quality business education provider at a reasonable cost.
Over a period of time the University has carved a niche for itself in Business Management Education and training required for the industry. The programmes offered by SUC are fully approved and accredited by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, UAE. (www.caa.ae).
SUC offers Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA), majors in Travel & Tourism Management, Information Systems, International Business, Marketing and Retail Management, Finance and Public Administration & also Weekend BBA with International Business as a Major. SUC offers Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme, with emphasis in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Strategic Management & Leadership and E-governance during weekdays and weekends.
The state-of-the art infrastructure spread across 40 acres of land is well-equipped to cater to the needs of the students in shaping up their future as young managerial workforce and prepare them to meet the challenges of today’s world. The University campus, situated on the border of Sharjah and Dubai, has well equipped and purpose built academic and administrative blocks, well-furnished Library and Computer Lab, Sports Centre which includes gymnasium, common room for students, international size floodlit cricket ground, football field and a covered basketball court, keeps the students engaged in sports activities. The diversity in Skyline is embodied by students from 55 different nationalities.
