SWABI: The academia of Nanjing Tech University (NTU), People’s Republic of China, and Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIK) on Wednesday decided to expand collaboration and launch joint research projects.
Prof Dr Chen Zhikuan and Prof Dr Gao Deqing from NTU and Prof Dr Meng Hong from Peking University, paid a two-day visit to GIK Institute.
They met Jehangir Bashar, Rector GIK Institute, Prof Dr Jameelun Nabi, Pro-Rector (Academics), Ahsan Basir Sheikh, Pro-Rector (Admin and Finance), Deans, Heads of Departments (HoDs), GIK Institute faculty members and students.
GIK Institute and NTU have already worked on a joint research project, Graphene Composite Solid State Electrolyte for Lithium Battery, which is funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and Pakistan Science Foundation. “It would be two-way traffic. The Chinese students could come to GIK and GIK students could go to NTU under the exchange programme,” said Jehangir Bashar, the Rector.
