‘Workers were prosperous in PML-Q govt’s tenure’
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Q did ideal and historic public service and will also do in future. Industrial and agricultural workers in Punjab were getting prosperous due to the PML-Q policies. The PML-Q government provided facilities like free education and medicines, Rescue 1122, separate social security hospital and labour colonies among others.
These views were expressed by Pakistan Muslim League-Q President and former prime minister Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, senior central leader and former deputy prime minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi in their separate messages on Labour Day.
Meanwhile, a delegation of civil society members called on the PML-Q leaders Tuesday at their residence here and announced joining the PML-Q. The delegation included first woman pilot of Pakistan Shehnaz Leghari, Sardar Saifullah Rind, Tahira Baloch, Hadiya, Maryam and Mian Fayyaz among others. On this occasion, the PML-Q leader MPA Khadeeja Umar, Syeda Majida Zaidi, Syeda Asma Shah and Samreen Taj were also present.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that the PML-Q government had worked day and night for the working class of the country, undertook legislation for providing relief to the workers earlier and will also do in future.
