Pak Super Kabaddi League kicks off today
LAHORE: The inaugural Pakistan Super Kabaddi League is all set to blast into action with an opening ceremony on May 1 (Tuesday), as on Monday draws of the matches were held. The opening ceremony of the league will be held at Alhamra Cultural Complex on Tuesday evening while the action-packed kabaddi event will be held at Punjab Stadium from May 2. The franchised-based kabaddi have teams named after different cities of Pakistan and the teams were picked through draft. The players from at least ten countries including Sri Lanka, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Malaysia, Japan, Bangladesh and Kenya are part of the 10 franchised based teams representing Lahore, Multan Gujrat, Karachi, Islamabad, Gwadar, Faisalabad and Peshawar are featuring in the inaugural edition. Moreover, the League will have two kabaddi matches with women teams. Pool A have Gujrat Warriors, Gwadar Bahadurs, Lahore Thunders, Sahiwal Bulls and Karachi Zorawars and Pool B comprises Islamabad All Stars, Peshawar Haiders, Faisalabad Sherdil, Kashmir Janbaaz and Multan Sikandars.
