423 awarded degrees
Rawalpindi: The 29th Convocation of FG Postgraduate College for Women, Kashmir Road, Rawalpindi, was held here on Thursday at the Salma Masud Auditorium of the college.
It was organised to award degrees, Rolls of Honour and Merit Certificates to the Graduates of BA, BSc, MA English and MA Urdu for the Session 2014-2016. Dr. Muhammad Ayub Alvi, Rector, National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences Islamabad, graced the ceremony as chief guest. A number of principals from different colleges of the twin cities, Colonel Iqbal Bajwa, Deputy Director 10 corps, and Major Yousaf, GSO-II, FGEI Directorate also attended the ceremony.
As many as 423 graduates were awarded degrees for the session, including 202 degrees to the students of B.A., 201 to B.Sc., 03 to M.A. English and 17 to M.A. Urdu. Rolls of Honour, Merit Certificates and Medals were also awarded to the students who excelled in the University Examinations.
The proud recipients of medals and Rolls of Honour for their meritorious performance included Madeeha Rana from M.A. English received Roll of Honour, Farhana Gulistan from M.A. Urdu received silver medal and Roll of Honour, Mehak Iqtidar from B.A. received Silver medal and Roll of Honour, Mehmoona from B.Sc (Zoology, Botany, Chemistry) received a Roll of Honour, Kanwal Fayyaz from B.Sc (Maths, Stats, Computer) received Silver medal and Roll of Honour. Begum Salma Masud Gold Medal was conferred upon Bisma Zulfiqar for her meritorious performance in academics during the session 2016-18.
