130 fake clinics sealed

LAHORE: Punjab Healthcare Commission sealed another 130 fake treatment centres of quacks on Thursday. According to a press release issued here on Wednesday, cases were registered against the quacks. The PHC teams visited 321 treatment centres and sealed 130 clinics of quacks. The action was taken in different areas of 13 districts including Toba Tek Singh, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Nankana Sahab, Sialkot, Sahiwal, Pakpattan, Mandi Bahauddin, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi and Lahore.

Session: The Ministry of Human Rights Thursday organised a consultative session to disseminate recommendations of Universal Periodic Review (UPR) report to stakeholders of the Punjab government and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) working for human rights.

All stakeholders attended the session. The participants were given a copy of recommendations of UPR and list of issues arising out of Pakistan’s GSP Plus review. These recommendations have to be implemented by the Punjab government in due course of time.

Ministry of Human Rights Parliamentary Secretary Shazia Sohail Mir was the Chief Guest of the session. Ministry of Human Rights Secretary Rabiya Javeri Agha was the guest of honour. International Cooperation Wing of Human Rights Director General Muhammad Hassan Mangi organised the session.

transferred: The Punjab Government Thursday issued notifications regarding transfer and posting of three officers. Gulberg Town Sub-Registrar Umar Maqbool has been posted as Section Officer (SO) I&C Wing S&GAD. Cooperative Department SO Rana Ziaullah has been posted as SO Treasury Department and SO Confidential Anam Malik has been posted as SO Governor Secretariat.
