BARA: Member National Assembly (MNA) and Fata parliamentary leader Nasir Khan Afridi on Wednesday urged the government to extend help to militancy-affected traders in Bar Qambarkhel in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency.
Talking to reporters after administering oath to the new elected members of the Anjuman-i-Tajiran, he said the traders and shopkeepers suffered huge losses as their businesses were destroyed in a decade long militancy. “We had to get Bara bazaar reopened to facilitate the tribalpeople to earn livelihood for their families with dignity,” he maintained.
He said the traders of the Bara bazaar had losses but the government did not announce relief package for them so far.
The MNA said the government had already taken steps to reconstruct the destroyed schools and health centres for the affected tribesmen.
Later, he announced to install solar lights from Sam Baba to Madarassa Bazaar road and clean drinking water supply schemes for the bazaar.
According to the CTD spokesman, the two were attempting to enter Punjab from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
