HARIPUR: Senate Deputy Chairman Salim Mandviwala has claimed that Pakistan People's Party (PPP) would win the next general election not only at federal level but also in all the provinces.
Addressing a public meeting here on Wednesday, he said that Bilawal Bhutto Zardari would lead the party into power again following the footsteps of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto. Senator Behramand Tangi, Ejaz Khan Durrani and former provincial president of PPP Rahimdad Khan were also present on the occasion.
The PPP leader said that the country's economy was in a poor condition due to the flawed policies of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) government. He also stated that the PPP would not make any alliance with any party including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf in the next general elections.
Talking about the development goals, Salim Mandviwala said that if PPP came into power the Telephone Industries of Pakistan (TIP), Haripur, would be revived on emergency basis. He added that 200 percent increase in the salaries of government servant, providing respectable jobs to jobless youths and widening of Hassanabdal to Abbottabad road would also be among the priority list of his party.
