Upgraded high school inaugurated in Chitral
CHITRAL: The recently upgraded Government High School for Girls was inaugurated in Joghoor village here on Saturday.
District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Chairman Saleem Khan was the chief guest and inaugurated the school. The middle school for upgraded and given the status of a high school.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) district women wing president Nahida Saif Advocate, information secretary men chapter Qazi Faisal and others were also present.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that he got approved and constructed two higher secondary, eight high and several middle and primary schools for girls in Chitral district.
The lawmaker said the ratio of educating girls was high in the district, adding women folk should be given equal opportunities like their male partners to play their role in country’s development.
He said that awareness about educating girls has been created in the society and people were sending more and more girls to schools.
