CDA operation
Islamabad: The Enforcement wing and Building Control Section (BCS) of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Wednesday conducted an operation in a market of sector G-6/2. During the operation against encroachments in Javed Market, the CDA team demolished illegal constructions raised in verandas and elsewhere in the shopping area.
The illegal constructions including elevated platforms, walls and grills were also hurdles in movement of pedestrians. According to an officer of CDA, the shopkeepers were issued notices warning them against illegal activity but they did not respond accordingly. The CDA operation also got strong reaction from shopkeepers who closed down their business and staged protest demonstration while raising slogans against the authority.
