IGP visits DRC Gulbahar

PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Salahuddin Khan Mahsud paid a surprise visit to the Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) in Gulbahar to apprise himself of the performance of the body.
The DRC members informed the IGP about the performance. They said that the council was not only trying to resolve various cases peacefully but was also working to eliminate the root causes of issues and convert enmity into friendship.
The IGP expressed satisfaction at the performance of the Gulbahar DRC and similar bodies in other parts of the province. “The establishment of DRC is as per our social norms and tradition and its basic purpose is to ensure provision of quick dispensation of justice to the downtrodden section of the society,” he said.
