Shopkeeper, robber killed in dacoity bid

LAHORE: A shopkeeper was killed by robbers on resistance while one of the robbers was also shot dead by the firing of his own accomplice during a dacoity bid in Manga Mandi Monday.

Police have removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy. It also collected forensic evidence from the crime scene and started investigation. When two robbers entered a shop, the shopkeeper resisted them following which a robber opened firing at him; as a result he sustained bullet injuries and one of the bullets also hit the other robber while the injured robber’s accomplice fled the crime scene. The injured shopkeeper and robber were shifted to a hospital, where both succumbed to their injuries.
