Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC), Academics Division, in collaboration with University of Balochistan held a five-day training on Semester Examination System for the faculty and examination staff of affiliated colleges of Balochistan offering four-year BS programmes. Over 35 faculty members and examination staffers attended the training.
The training was aimed at contributing towards smooth implementation of HEC policy guidelines on Semester Examination System in affiliated colleges of the region as well as orientation on test development procedures and evaluation practices.
Dr. Muhammad Sarwar, Associate Professor, University of Sargodha and Dr. Tahira Mughal, Controller Examinations, Lahore College for Women University, Lahore were the resource persons during the training. They apprised the participants in detail about various HEC semester guidelines including standard scheme of studies at different levels of programmes, admission policy, degree requirements, CGPA, methods and techniques of assessment for different levels of learning, and development and evaluation of different types of tests.
