Shujaabadi admitted to hospital

BAHAWALPUR: Famous and poplar Seraiki poet, Shakir Shujaabadi, who suffered injuries in road accident, has been admitted to a private hospital in Bahawalpur.

Shakir received critical injuries on his body when the car he was riding in plunged into a canal. He was brought to Bahawalpur and admitted to a private hospital. Shakir has received severe wounds on his head and back, doctors said.

Poet Shakir Shujaabadi, who belongs to a very poor family, has already been suffering from motor-neuron disease. It is being mentioned here that internationally known scientist, Stephen Hawking, who recently died was also suffering from motor-neuron disease.

Shakir is suffering from the same disease that paralysed Stephen Hawking, said Prof Dr Abdur Rasheed.
