Timber trailer stalls traffic on Murree Road
Rawalpindi: Traffic on Murree Road near Waris Khan remained suspended till afternoon due to a heavily loaded trailer which got stuck on the main road of the city on Thursday.
The trailer loaded with wood got stuck near Waris Khan when it was turning towards a timber warehouse nearby. Rawalpindi Traffic Police despite using big cranes was unable to get the stuck-up trailer from the road to smooth the flow of traffic which remained suspended on one side of the road from 6a.m. till 2:30 p.m.
A Senior Traffic Warden Tariq Sohail told ‘The News’ that the trailer entered the city late night otherwise traffic police do not allow heavy traffic in the city during day . “The trailer got stuck on road therefore we had stopped traffic coming Faizabad,” he said.
