LAHORE: World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) organised WBSC international technical officials seminar for baseball 2018 in Hong Kong. Two baseball umpires and two technical commissioners of Pakistan attended the seminar.
Wasim Zahid and Imran Majeed Khan from Pakistan attended the seminar and received their certificates from Canada’s Jim Baba who is Technical Adviser World Baseball Softball Confederation.
Seminar for umpires was attended by Pakistan’s Zafar Hussain Warraich and Mudassar Ali. They received their certificates from WBSC official Gustavo Rodriguez from USA.
On this occasion Pakistan Federation Baseball (PFB) president Syed Fakhar Shah said that this seminar was organised to enhance technical knowledge of umpires and technical commissioners. “This seminar will help our technical officials to understand the game’s protocol and how to prepare official tournament reports under the WBSC system. Our umpires and technical officials successfully completed the seminar.”
He added the future plan of PFB is to send baseball coaches for MLB BFA baseball coaching clinic to be held in Nanjing (China).
