CADD gets back PIMS, college administration
Islamabad : The Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has got back the administrative control of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences and Federal Medical (PIMS) and Dental College after five years.
The two entities were placed under the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad, after its establishment in March 2013 through an Act of Parliament.
Now as the PIMS stands separated from the SZABMU through a recent legislation, the Establishment Division has notified the return of this largest government hospital of the federal capital to the CADD along with the FMDC, the only public sector medical and dental college in the city.
The development comes at the request of the CADD.
According to a notification of the Establishment Division, the status of the PIMS and FMDC has been restored to the one, which existed before the enforcement of the SZABMU Act, 2013, as the subordinate offices of the CADD in pursuance of the SZABMU (Amendment) Act, 2018.
