President of Nizam-e-Mustafa Muttahida Mahaz (NMMM) and Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) Dr Abdul Khair Muhammad Zubair has said no delay in general elections could be acceptable since it would cause serious damages to the democratic institutions and democracy in the country.

Top leaders of religious parties would announce the modus operandi of enforcing Nizam-e-Mustafa (PBUH) in the country on March 28 (tomorrow). Nizam-e-Mustafa Khademin Convention is being held at Aiwan-e-Iqbal to mark JUP’s 70th Foundation Day, he said while addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Monday.

The president of his own faction of JUP Noorani said JUP has a long history of struggle for the enforcement of Nizam-e-Mustafa since its inception in 1948 to make the country a genuine Islamic welfare state in the light of the citations of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal.

He warned that the problems besetting the country could never be solved through any military or judicial martial law since it would create clash between the democratic institutions. But the dangers facing the country could only be removed by making it a real Islamic welfare state by enforcing Nizam-e-Mustafa in it.
