‘Success in life possible through dedication, hard work’

Rawalpindi: The speakers at the annual prize distribution ceremony of Anglo Arabic Higher Secondary School, Satellite Town, Rawalpindi, made it clear upon the students that success in studies and life is only possible through dedication, hard work as well as learning from their failures.

They were of the view that hard work always pays dividend for a successful life as there are no short cuts to reaching pinnacle of educational career and subsequently a successful professional life.

The speakers urged the students to keep their dreams alive and understand that in order to achieve anything in life they should have faith and belief in themselves. You should always remember that success in life does not come easy, it is a result of hard work, as determination, and dedication always pay the dividend.

The ceremony began with recitation of verses from Holy Quran. In her welcome address Principal Ms Saima Afzal presented a summary of the academic and co-curricular activities of the school.

The ceremony was also attended by Executive Committee of Anglo Arabic Higher Secondary School including President Abdul Waheed Malik, General Secretary Nisar Malik, Finance Secretary Ahsan Mahmood Bhatti, former principal and executive committee member Nisar Nazish and members of the executive committee including Ch Irshad Mohammad Khan, Amadul Hassan Abbasi, Usman Bhatti, Malik Irfan Azam and Mohammad Shoaib.

In his address, chief guest, Abdul Waheed Malik, highlighted the efforts made over past years in evolving the school into a role model for society. He said: “It is honour to be surrounded by so many special people and to be blessed in the fellowship of this gracious occasion. May the excitement of today enthuse you, May its enchantment surround you and may the fellowship that we share create happy memories and smiling, magical moments. May the magical moments be many and memorable.” He urged the students to work hard in life to achieve success. He also pointed out that the school students also attended ceremonies at ‘Aiwan-e-Sadar’ and Prime Minister House, which was a great honour for the school. Abdul Waheed also said that the school got its cricket team registered with Pakistan Cricket Board and that was a major achievement.

Students from girls and boys wing adorning national colours presented tableau on national songs. Principal Saima Afzal in her vote of thanks praised the faculty members for their determination and devotion in imparting education, which was evident from the high percentage of result.
