Pakistan beat Lanka in Asian Squash
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan continued their unbeaten run in the Asian Squash Men’s Team Championship beating Sri Lanka 3-0 in the second match of the pool in South Korea on Thursday.
Tayyab Aslam prevailed over Gihan Suwaris 11-2, 11-5, 11-5 to put Pakistan 1-0 up with Amaad Fareed getting better of Ravindu Lajsiri 12-10, 11-4, 11-5 in the second match.Mohammad Asim Khan then made it 3-0 winning against Druvinka Perera 11-5, 11-6, 11-9.
With the win against Sri Lanka, Pakistan have qualified for the knock out stage of the event.Meanwhile, Pakistan women got their first win of the tournament beating Thailand 3-0.Madina Zafar beat Anantana Prasertratanakul 11-4, 11-8, 7-11, 11-5 while Faiza Zafar defeated Tuddaw Thamronglarp 11-7, 11-1, 11-1. Riffat Khan come good against Suvipa Kitvijarn 11-2, 11-3, 11-7.
