QWP leader hails arrest of Rao Anwar

CHARSADDA: Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) provincial chairman Sikandar Sherpao on Wednesday appreciated the arrest of Rao Anwar. SSP Rao Anwar was involved in the extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah Mahsud in Karachi and had gone underground after the court ordered his arrest.

Speaking at a workers' convention in Sherpao here, Sikandar Sherpao said that the delay in the arrest of Rao Anwar was causing a sense of alienation among the Pakhtuns. The delay in the arrest of a dirty cop had raised questions on the system, he said, adding, the extrajudicial killing of Naqeebullah was not an isolated incident but a part of biased attitude towards Pakhtuns. He said that Pakhtuns were peace loving people and condemned portraying them as terrorists.
