KMC hospitals put on alert for PSL final
All 13 hospitals under the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) charge have been put on alert from March 24 to 26 in view of the final match of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) third edition to be played in the city on Sunday.
The KMC’s Medical & Health Services Department has relayed Mayor Wasim Akhtar’s orders to the health facilities, which include the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, the Landhi Medical Complex, the Sarfaraz Rafiqui Shaheed Hospital, the Gazdarabad General Hospital, the Sobhraj Maternity Hospital, the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases and the Spencer Eye Hospital.
Akhtar said that at least 50 senior doctors, 200 nurses and 500 paramedics will be on duty round the clock during the three days, adding that the Rescue 1122 ambulance service will be working at the National Stadium during the final, while city wardens and fire brigades have also been put on alert.
