Another Raiwind blast victim dies

LAHORE: Another victim of Raiwind blast succumbed to his injuries raising death toll to 12.

The victim has been identified as Abdul Razzaq, 35. He was admitted to Jinah Hospital. At least 24 blast injured are under treatment at different hospitals. torture: Yakki Gate police allegedly subjected a 14-year-old boy to severe torture and later pushed him into a drain on Monday.

The victim has been identified as Shehroz. He was playing video games when police took him in custody and shifted to Yakki Gate police check post. The victim’s family alleged that police subjected him to severe torture. As they demanded the release of Shehroz, cops turned furious and pushed him into the drain, they alleged. The victim’s family fished him out and shifted to Mayo Hospital in a critical condition. No case was registered against the cops till filing of this report.

Gang : Manawan investigation police claimed to have arrested three members of an inter-district gang of thieves and recovered Rs 2million in cash and weapons from their custody. Police team arrested gang leader Imran alias Mani, Munawar alias Kodu, and Waseem. Police arrested them through geofencing. Police have traced 11 cases against them. Cant SP has announced commendatory certificates for the police team.

Expat: An expatriate Pakistani has got possession of his plot worth Rs12m in a housing society, as a result of the efforts of Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab.

OPC Vice Chairperson Senator Shaheen Khalid said that Asif Ali, settled in Doha, filed a complaint that he booked a ten-marla plot in a private housing society of Islamabad in 2012 and paid all installments by June 2014, but he could not get the possession of the plot. Shaheen Khalid said a team of OPC contacted the administration of the housing society and ensured the provision of plot to the complainant.

TWO die: At least 943 road accidents were reported in Provincial Monitoring Cell of the Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122) in all 37 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours in which two lives were lost and 660 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant districts and tehsils. However, some 438 victims, who sustained minor injuries, were discharged on the spot after provision of first aid by emergency medical teams.

ARRESTED: Green Town Investigation police claimed to have arrested a proclaimed offender who had raped and then killed a 13-year-old girl seven years back. The accused has been identified as Munir alias Munna.
