Won’t join political party nor face no-trust move: Sanjrani
DALBANDIN: The Senate Chairman, Sadiq Sanjrani said there is no chance of a No Trust Motion being tabled against him. Dilating upon it, he said there cannot be a no-trust move as the Constitution does not allow it happening for at least six months and also ruled out joining any political party in future.
Addressing a news conference at the Sanjrani House in Killi Daudabad, he said Nawaz Sharif is a leader of the country. Let him say what he is saying. We were six independent members and the senators from PPP, PTI, MQM and FATA voted for us and made us successful with majority. Asif Zardari and Imran Khan took a good decision in the larger interests of the country.
The Chairman Senate said we had tried from day one to have a Chairman Senate from Balochistan. He said we want Chairman Senate from all the four provinces.
He said the government cannot provide employment to the people and we should instead promote industry so that a maximum number of employments are generated. Whether it is CPEC or any other project we should fully support it as it would also lead to maximum employment opportunities. Answering a question Sadiq Sanjrani said the Reko Diq case is pending in the international court and saying something about it would be premature.
Earlier, Sanjrani was accorded a warm welcome by the PPP and PTI workers and the people of the area upon arrival in Dalbandin from Quetta by a special plane. He drove to Sanjrani House, Killi Daudabad in a cavalcade of large number of vehicles. Later, he attended a luncheon hosted by JUI leader Sardar Najeeb Sanjrani. The people of the area congratulated him on his election as the Chairman Senate.
